What are Skin Tags?

Skin tags are small growths on the skin that look like warts. They could be connected to skin by a small stalk or just sit on the surface of skin. They could be soft, smooth and round or wrinkly and uneven. Could be flesh colored or brown. Most skin tags are painless and don’t cause any symptoms but if they rub on clothing or jewelry they may become sore and bleed.

A Milium is a small white cyst on the skin surface typically on cheeks and around the eyes. Multiple cysts called Milia. It occurs when keratin becomes trapped beneath the surface of the skin. The cause is usually makeup or thick skin products that clogs the ducts and prevents the natural exfoliation process of skin. They also occur as a result of any damage to skin including sun damage or aggressive skin treatments. Milia can not be extracted without opening the thin skin layer that covers them.
